Generating ideas for writing-brainstorming

How to write paragraph?


  Good evening, as we said last time we have two subjects in how to write a paragraph lesson. In first we knew.

  What is a paragraph? Today we will continue teaching the second lesson Generating ideas for writing-brainstorming.


Generating ideas for writing-brainstorming :

A) You can brainstorm :


_ on your own paper writing down your ideas.
_ with other people by discussing the topic.

 B) Brainstorming is useful for write essays, such as in tests, or for a writing task which does not require research:

1) Technique for brainstorming :
1) Listing.
2) Mind mapping.
3) free writing.


1)_Listing :

_ Listing is an activity when you make a list of your ideas and where you think about the topic.

Where listing, remember :
_ You can put all the ideas into a list the one below, or can classify them in groups.

Example:
Reasons for going to university:
_ to study a particular subject
_to have fun..
_ to join a club .
_ to make friends .
_ to get job in the future .
_ to have free time before starting to work.
_ to think about the future.
_ to meet people from different places.


2)_Mind mapping :

_ Mind mapping is another brainstorming activity. To draw a mind map:
1. Write the topic in the center of a bank sheet of paper.
2. Think about any word or phrase that is related to the topic and write it next to the topic.
3. Draw one line between the word and the topic.
4. Think of a new word related to either one of two words an the sheet and write it down.
5. Continue until you have enough ideas.
_ The advantage of mind mapping is that relationships between ideas are visually displayed. This makes it  more easy for you to find clusters of ideas that are related to each other.


3)_Free writing :

_ Free writing is a brainstorming activity in what you :
1. Think about the topic and write down your ideas on a piece of paper.
2. Keep writing whatever and anything comes to your mind for about ten minutes.
Remember for free writing:
_ do not back to rewrite your ideas.
_ do not worry about organization, style or grammar.
_ when you finish, read what you have written carefully, and identify the ideas that will be useful for your task.
