The conditional type 1

Type one :

If + present simple ------> future simple.
1. If I see him today / tomorrow, I will speak to him.

Main clause : if_ if-clause :

Present tense:
If he comes tomorrow, we will play tennis --> the action is ( probably likely or possible.
( I.E) something will happen if a certain condition is fulfilled ).
Variation of the basic form ( there are statement of universal truth a few validity. If corresponds to when).

Main clause:

*Present tense:
If you heat metal, it expands ( If = whenever = Habitual result - Automatic result).
*Past tense:
If you don't like tea, why did you drink it = if = since, as = cause.

If -clause:

Present perfect tense: If you have finished with your work, we will go for a walk ( if = after )
(Certainty = if = condition ).
Will here is not on future - it is modal auxiliary in.
- If you will wait a moment, I will fetch you a chair ( colored future will = want. It's not a pure future in the If clause).
