Present Perfect Tense
Present Perfect Tense is never used alongside with adverbs of past time. For Example,
We must not say " He has gone Marrakech Yesterday" is such case you had better use Simple Past Tense " He went to Marrakech yesterday"
Present Perfect Tense is used:
1. To define past events when we focus on their effect in the present than of the action itself.
- _ Julian has eaten all of the cake. (There is not any cake left for me).
- _ I have cut my finger. (and it is bleeding now).
- _ I have done my homework. (now I am free).
2. To show experience of your life.
- _ I have been to k-2.
- _ I have jumped from an aero plane.
3. Present Perfect Tense is also used to express a situation (not action) that began in the past and continues to the present and it usually comes with SINSE or FOR.
- I have been here since seven o'clock.
- We have been here for two weeks.
- I have known him for many years.
4. To show actions completed in the immediate past (usually with JUST));
- _ He has just left for the Airport.
- _ I have just finished my homework.
5. To show pat actions whose time is not mentioned and defined.
- _ Have you seen " Harry Potter "?
- _ I have seen China.
