Good evening dear Readers, Adverbs is important subject in English grammar, and one part of Part speech.
DEFINITION:
Most of Adverbs in English are formed by adding -ly to an Adjective. An adverb is a word that modifies the meaning of a Verb, an Adjective, anther adverb, a Noun or Noun Phrase, Complement of a Preposition.
ADVERB SPELLING NOTES:
- Adjectives ending -y still -ly, careful, carefully.
- Adjectives ending -y change to -ily, luckily, lucky
- Adjectives ending -ble change to -bly , responsible, responsibly.
